Marathon 2008 - well done

I am so happy, that my children were there to cheer me on. I dedicated this run to them. I love you, my precious! T
I am also happy that drmellow and, my sweetie, cgcohoon finished it together!!!! Yeah!!! Very proud of you guys! I had a great time running with my friend, who came from Richmond. We had a good plenty of time to catch up.

Special thanks to Sandy and Hal and Meredith for been there for us. :) and for cooking dinner after we got home.

When we were riding a Metro afterwards, my daughter said - Mom, when we get home, you need to take a shower. :)

The Marathon is only 6 days away. I am excited to run with cgcohoon, drmellow. We are about take and put to the ground the 33d Marine Corp Marathon. :)))))
My Golden Pumpkins are going to see us running and cheer with Sandy and Hal and Meredith. I hope some day they will get into running too... :}

Dark Night

Last night, instead of sleeping and see nice dreams... we went to see new Batman movie. I fell asleep during the watch, I was trying so hard to stay awake (too bad I didn't have any matches to keep my eyes open). So, the only times I was ok keeping up my eyes open, when there was this Joker. The movie is so bad, I couldn't believe it. Very poor acting (except Joker)and poor making. Iron Man is the winner for me. I couldn't listen to Batman talking - his voice was very enjoying... I didn't like it at all.

And, I think we are getting neighbors... I think we just saw them doing walk through. :) - nice to have someone to talk to and :( no more freedom on the court.

Changes in life can be good and overwelming

Last weekend we bought new house. We got engaged. And... I put 2 weeks notice and will start new job on April 7. Not sure how I am surviving all that... Help!!!! :))))

Marathon training

This morning ccohoon, Chris O. and I went for a run. 10 miles! ccohoon and I were impressed with Chris O. He did it without wining. :) Good job! Next run should be 12 miles. And we expect no wining either. :)))) It was a good run. Sunny and nice. really want to say more, but my mind is tired right now...

Tips for Man and Woman

Some useful tips I heard on the radio this morning on the drive to work, so I decided to share.

For Man: never say to a girl while eating - don't you think you should not eat this? (I never experienced this, so can not comment)

For Woman: never say to a guy - do you think she is pretty? (well yeah!!! he will try to avoid the answer, or worse will lie about it and feel guilty about it. So I admit, that I did asked that stupid question... girl genes? ) :)

Next year resolution: run Marine Core Marathon (MCM) in October for the second time, 1/2 Marathon (Spring/Summer), buy and settle in tha CRIB, teach THING #1 AND THING #2 how to bike and train ccohoon to cook pies. :) j.k about the pies... :)))) hm... anything else?... may be go to Ukraine for visit. :} ...

New house

We had Centex Design Center appointment yesterday. It went really well. Got all the options we wanted... upgraded kitchen and master bathroom, humidifier,ceiling fans hookups in every room and everything else is standard. It's going to look really great. Next step is a meeting with the builder. They already started to build our neighbor's house. It's moving on... very exciting period, the only one worry - to sell the other house.

Today is my first Slacker's Day. :) It's awesome. :) I feel like I have life... :)

Also, it's really nice let the kids to get up on there own, drive them straight to school (usually get them up around 6)... no rush... aaaaaah... easy going morning... kids are happy... I am happy... hope ccohoon is happy (he also has a Slacker Day today)... ;)

Ceilidh's B-day party

We had my daughter's B-day party at Capital Club House in Waldorf. It was Rock Climbing theme. She did the best job than anyone of us there... Ken, ccohoon and I are were the only adults participating in the climbing. That was great! BTW - first time for me. I loved it. :) Got tired after 4 attempts, the girl did about 100! Where do they get energy from?...

After the party one of the girls stayed overnight... :| They didn't get to sleep until midnight... Then got up at 6a.m.!!!!!! WTF!!!! Kids... :)

Last Summer weekend

My girl was jumping from the diving board today! Wow, she really impressed all of us. Before she could do it, she had to pass thetest: swim one lap in the pool and then tread water for a minute. She did it! I couldn't believe it. She really learned how to swim this Summer. Go my daughter! :)
Ciaran finished his Bears requirements, go my son. :)
ccohoon got new WII games... enjoying himself right now... :)
The kids starting school this Monday. The Summer past fast...
We are moving to a rental townhouse this coming Saturday. Closing on my house will be September 13. Thank God it's not Friday. Will say bye to a cute Getto hood... :) and Hi to a journey to 'Mansion'( the kids word) that is hopefully will be ours in the Spring of next year.

One more thing. I was puting my son to sleep just now, and he when I was giving him a good night kiss, I had to pull my hair back so it won't tickle his face. After I did it, he said: Mom, you don't look good when you bold, but you still my MOM. And he smiled. So I guess it suppose to be a good thing. :)

Guess what we did last weekend - diving! It was awesome. I never even imagined how great it feels... mesmerizing... :) I am still in shock. I would recommend to everybody. Even though it's a work - we were dead tired - it's all worth it...

Disney vacation

Disney was great. Sea World was awesome. :) Sea World was the best for me and ccohoon. The kids loved every park we went to: Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, Universal Studios, Sea World. Now we are back... to work...

Diving

My friend from work and I signed up for diving course at the end of July. It will be 6 sessions ( 4 hours each ) and certified diving at lake Rawlings in VA at the end of August. I think we might do camping there, so if anyone wanna join us there and may be dive yourself, you are welcome to come with us. Mmmmh, diving... deeeeeeeper... and deeeeeeeper... :)

Ran 10 miles with my friend at Mount Vernon last Saturday. This is the fourth long distance since Marathon... All kind of aces... :) Still nice to know that I can do it.

I got an email not long ago from Ukrainian guy who graduated from the same College I did back in Ukraine. He contacted me through LiveJournal account. Its fun to get in touch with someone like that.

is everyone experiencing very hectic life for the past few month? I am... Thanks to ccohoon I get a chance to do something at home (like journal update) instead of running around errands with the kids stuff (like boy scout meeting today). He is my support this days. :)
